Purchase and production - from thought to plate
At Knatteplock, our goal is to offer products that promote children's joy of eating and make parents' everyday lives easier. Many of our products help with children's early independent eating, something we believe strongly contributes to the joy of eating.
Our key words when it comes to our products are: functional, non-toxic and exploratory.
Purchase
Our products are designed by us
We love being able to offer smart, functional and beautiful products to children and parents of young children. We are therefore always looking for new product ideas to broaden our range.
More than 80% of our range is our own design. We start our product development process with an idea that we believe will solve a challenge that parents of young children and young children have. Based on the idea, the process begins with developing the product. We develop the design ourselves with our producer or with the help of a design agency here in Stockholm. The entire design process usually takes two to three months.
In some cases, we find a finished product on the market that matches our idea. In that case, we buy the product as is from the manufacturer. Often with some changes (for example, the best possible material in terms of safety and/or a different color).

We are always looking for ways to help parents of young children make everyday life easier and to give children more joy in eating.
We carefully select our partners who share our view of quality – all to create safe products.
We create the majority of our range ourselves in close collaboration with our producers or a design agency.
All of our materials are tested to be safe to use with food, durable and ready for future food adventures.
When we launch a product, it is important to us that parents can easily see how it can contribute to a more enjoyable and smooth everyday life.
After launch, we keep track of how our products perform in real life, and we constantly improve to maintain our high standards.
Production
Manufacturing
We produce many of our products with the help of our manufacturers in Asia. When it comes to silicone products, China is the absolute world leader in this type of product. We place high demands on our suppliers and have a code of conduct. which places demands on their working conditions, environmental work, production standards and more. Here you will find our code of conduct.
Our products are then shipped from China using means that have the least possible environmental impact, usually via train.
Product safety
Our guarantee to you as customers is that our products are completely non-toxic and suitable for food. We set high standards for ourselves as we are aware that we have a sensitive target group – children. That is why we have a quality program that includes processes and routines for how we ensure that our products meet our high standards. Inventory and shipping to customer
We have all our products in a warehouse in Uppsala, Sweden. From there, all customer orders are shipped with Sweden's largest freight forwarders, such as DHL and Postnord. Our products are never shipped directly from our supplier to the customer. Everything goes through our warehouse where we also check the products to ensure they are of the right quality.
Product prices
We always strive to keep prices in line with the market and look at the value of our products from several perspectives. Our solid quality processes and good materials mean that we can offer security to our customers, which is also an aspect to consider in the price.
However, we know that our target group often has a challenging everyday economy. It is therefore constantly a balancing act for us to set a reasonable price that also allows us to maintain the quality we want. And so that we can offer other services for free, such as our recipe bank which is completely free and Sweden's largest in finger food for children.
